Magic Dust

When you sprinkle truth into the sea, they turn into fantasies.

That smell in the breeze will take your breath away, it will steal your heart. You fall in love like a spell was cast. You will want to sleep under those stars because they are like a match made in heaven with the sound of the waves.
Like you and I.
Like you and I.
But one day will come, when there will be nothing left but those truth you sprinkled into the sea. Just the truth.
Nothing like you and I.
Nothing like you and I.
Walk Thru The Sleepy City
June 13, 2009
Two weeks ago of the same time, I was in a different city of a different country, feeling the wind that the waves bring from the sea. Mmm. :) The city whispers sweet lullabies, those you hum for a newborn to fall asleep. In Macau, the days feel like nights. Even in broad daylight, you smell the sleepiness and sees the world with a dreamy tint. It’s a spell. You naturally feel relaxed and the church bells ring in the most soothing harmony. Like the aftermath of a spa, you feel flighty.
While it is all like pashmina on silk on the outside, the pumping energy and bright lights are just behind those closed doors. If you aren’t there for the wagering of money, be entertained by pole-dancers, magicians or any of the sort. Gambling’s not my thing, but Sands is not recommended anyway. Hah! Venetian rocks because it has retail stores!! :P

I was most familiar with the smell of freshly baked tarts. And also my favourite of egg tarts, Portuguese-style ones — pastel de nata. It’s better than the ones I always eat from Berry’s, but it’s not as wow-ing as I was told by many. My eyes did not pop, Tammy! :( Haha. And the first adv I saw at Venetian’s foodie area was Laksa Malaysia… wtf!
How is everybody who’s not at Shangri-La of Orchard Road? :P :P Although with The Great Singapore Sales going on so… forcefully(?), I bet no goods will be bought back. Not in for long and definitely not for leisure. Ahem. I bet no time for photos too. Blaaah. And congratulations to Joel for being an official A Level’s grad now! /bighug :D

Midnight sits at my patio. Unmoved. Still. Rooted. The only motion is the endless threads of breeze that run through my hair. In this quiescence, I hear my own thoughts.
誰比你重要 成功了敗了也完全無重要
誰比你重要 狂風與暴雨都因你燃燒
The time between 3am and 4am, this very pensive hour, is like an hour of the twenty-four in a day that doesn’t move. The hands in a clock skips all the ticking and jumps just from three to four. Everything happens in one long second. It’s like that.
In this wistful one long second of today, I question myself, of my faith — Am I faithful? What shapes my faith? What do I actually have faith in, really? Faith, is a funny thing. It doesn’t need logic nor proof to be performed. It doesn’t demand any solid reasoning. You just have to believe. And everything will fall into your ear like balm
I have faith that I will find you. As long as I follow these footprints you left on the beach, I will find you. I know not where they lead to nor when it will end, but I will find you. At the end of it all, I will find you. As long as I have faith, I will find you. The waves are throwing themselves onto the shores like a nostos is being celebrated. It is going to wash off the trail. The footprints will be barely visible. But as long as I have faith, I will find you. The sun and stars will be my companion till I am with you. They are lovely, but I need a love that converse fluently with me in both chaos and silence. A love that debates fiercely for rationality yet holds proudly onto the same faith that will help me find you. I will find you.
有了你即使平凡卻最重要
Tell me that I will. Because when I find you, I will find love. I will find true happiness. I will find what really matters in life when I find you.

一追再追 只想追趕生命裡一分一秒
原來多麼可笑 你是真正目標
一追再追 追蹤一些生活最基本需要
原來早不缺少… 只得你
會叫我彷彿人群裡最重要
有了你即使沈睡了 也在笑
Hong Kong
June 6, 2009
I got back from HK just a while ago. The timespan I had there was too little but damage has already been done. HK is a financially aggressive country and I am flat broke now.
It was not the best trip ever but it was not exactly bad either. I visited several places (Causeway Bay, Temple Street, Aberdeen, Repulse Bay, The Peak, Central) but ’several’ is just not enough. I am rather annoyed I had to leave so early because I obviously had not seen enough of HK. :( I also hadn’t ate enough there. :( :( I actually didn’t do much. Seriously. Sigh, could you believe it?! What a waste. Most of the time was spent traipsing… except for the full-fledged shopping day at Pearl Harbour City. Pwoaaar!
Thus, I am already planning my next trip back!!!!! :) Hopefully, I’ll get to meet up with Yoyo the next time too. We were so close to meeting up this time!!!!!
Anyway, I stayed in Tsim Tsa Shui when I was there, which is the hotspot for shopping. Pearl Harbour City is the best shopping mall ever! :D It’s on Canton Road, just two streets away from the hotel I was at. I can spend weeks roaming the stores there and I still won’t be finished! I spent most of my expenditures there on shoes, bags and blablabla. :/

I also met a few people, who are from Klang Valley too, whom I might or might not keep in contact with. Well, depends. But they are a jolly bunch who’s gamed for anything and especially after having drinks. Ahem. Oh, by the way, beer (I only had Tsingtao and Blue Girl) in HK is so damn overpriced but so damn smooth. AAAAAHHHHHHHH. ;)
I was also in Macau for the first time. Spent some unexpected extensive time there. So yeah. Anyway, I am in Ipoh for the weekend now. Yes, Vincent, the weather is HOT!
Sleepless In Hong Kong
June 3, 2009
I am in bed. My back is glued to the mattress. Eyes wide awake staring at this whitewash ceiling. I see reflections of neon lights on the ceiling from the skyscrapers outside. This is Kowloon. Big bright billboards and busy streets with busy people. Young girls lugging Chanels that cling-cling-clings.
I am in bed. I can hear the drunk laughters of newfound friends tumbling down the glitzy LKF road and swift wind of The Peak blowing in my ear. I shudder. So many snippets of voices weaved into harmony. Midnight approaches but silence is not coming. The night lives. And so do the porridge stalls.
