I did not expect walking back into this place to be so overwhelming.

I have my name written in bold on the benches of this hut. It’s permanent marker, haha! I hid behind this wall away from the teachers. I used to climb these flights of stairs every morning. I vandalised this lab table, and that one, and that one…! Hey, I fist fought here! I bled here during Taekwondo class. Ate during break and laughed with the usuals in the canteen. Morning assemblies were held here – Puan Chong used to share with us what she read from the Sunday newspapers then and Puan Ung would catch us girls chatting hastily. The spiky hairstyles the guys had were always highlights of the greenie prefects. This sad substitute of a basketball half court was where my line “No Blood, No Foul” was created and now sustained as a legacy. Secrets were shared behind this computer lab. I deejayed in this room with Ranessh and Alyaa!

It’s as if I grew up and grew old already but it has only been three short months. I had spent five years in this school – being myself, finding myself, moulding myself, challenging myself. I left traces of myself everywhere in here. I remember the bits of innocent happiness I had. It was really, really happy. :) :)

This is a self-made meme and I tag all the ones who just left secondary school like myself to do it. It will be a reminder to us, where we came from and what we went through. Of course, if you did the tag, please leave a link behind for me. :) Thanks much. Please do it before memories of our school days become more vague. :)

I would like to thank Puan Chin a million because it writes that I am a responsible, capable, sociable and active student in my school leaving and testimonial certificates. Very congenial, no? HAHAHA. Even I don’t think so highly of myself. :P I’d also have to thank Puan Wang for actually approving them. My future boss will be very happy to see the certs! :))) Heh heh! My secondary school life was a great battle. :D :D

The No Show

March 11, 2009

In the midst of fun and thrill, I was zapped with a news so strong that almost blew me off my chair! Really. ALMOST. Haha.

SPM RESULTS ON MARCH 12

PETALING JAYA: The Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) results will be released on March 12.

Students would be able to obtain the results after 10am from their respective schools, said Education director-general Datuk Alimuddin Mohd Dom.

“Private candidates will receive their results through the post,” he said in a statement yesterday.

A total of 442,936 students sat for the SPM examination, while 6,240 students sat for the STAM papers last year.

SPM had not been bothering me for months already and frankly speaking, I pretty much moved on from that phase of high school. What could’ve been done –the late-nights and inconsistent respiration and overdosage of caffeine– had been done in that dreadful November. It’s just the out come now.

So whilst the other former Form 5 students are going to anticipate the receival of their results hand-in-hand with former schoolmates tomorrow, I will be either swimming with fishes or sipping Mimosa at Pulau Redang. My toes will be touching the fine sand of the beautiful beach in a few more hours!! ;) CAN’T WAIT, BABY. CAN’T WAIT! :D :D :D

P/S: Dearest lovelies, please scream your lungs out on my behalf when everyone gets their results! Enjoy the last bits of breaking school rules okay? :) <3

….. I’m kidding.

Well, actually, I’m not. Just that I’m postponing my plans for Redang to later on. I swear Dad would’ve barged into the plane, drag me out by the ears whilst swearing at me all the way, IF I really went to Redang today. Obviously, my Dad is more deadly than the November dread. -_____- LOL.

Anyway, Lester will come pick me up after his classes tomorrow, then we’ll go get our results together. I’m predicting a lot of screamings and hoohas in school but damn.. :)))

To Eclipse and Surmount

February 10, 2009

Photo taken at 155kmh, on the way back to Subang from Ipoh last night.

I have to travel downtown for my Advance 109 classes. It’s absolutely different there; teaching approach, social circle, places to munch on lunch, et cetera. Today was my first day and I felt being the odd one out but somehow fit in as well.

Here, I’ve a different range of classmates — a pharmacist-soon-to-be-doctor from Iran, two Koreans; one fashionista and another IT geek, a hip hop Libyan racing bike tycoon, a Somalian MTech holder, a real estate broker from China and a Greek ecologist-slash-lecturer. I AM INTIMIDATED!!! :( But they are nice to me, so all’s forgiven. Haha. :P

These people are qualified and established. Hearing these ideas churning out of them is like a discovery. They hold me at fascination.

Only if I get to change classmates every other month as I go through college and university. However, tertiary life is not supposed to be exciting and fun. It is supposed to be all about scoring the right amount of CGPA meaning anything below 4.0 is suicidal. IELTS results must not be less than 9.0 too because every 0.5 band lesser penetrates a new layer of stupidity and disgrace.

I’m joking okay? In case you don’t get it. -_____- Life is how you want it to be. :D

Happiness is a choice!
Love is a choice!
Good food is a choice!
Success is a choice!
Sex is a choice!
Fashion is a choice!
Courage is a choice!
Believing is a choice!
Doing things right is a choice!
Survival is a choice!
Life is a choice!

Ultimately, sufficient rest is also a choice and in fact, should be highly valued and given more attention to too. So excuse me while I make my choice. :)))

Updates, Finally

February 6, 2009

- Abundance of updates is mainly because I was having evaluations throughout the week. Finished the exams and got my results, just! I scored! I’m going to Advance 109! Haha. Honestly, I’ve learned all the amazing things about the language and writing more professionally! Bliss! :))))) Some photos that turned out well today;

Yanan is one of the cutest people I’ve met, in all aspects of the word!

This is Mai, myself and Dina. Can never spend enough time with them!

Advance 108. Not everyone’s in the photo though. Le sigh!

Gordon lipsticked for a performance! :P I hope he will never come across this. :P

- Lunching at Subway and Secret Recipe became an everyday thing, yuck. :( Talk about routine man! So the bunch and myself scooted over to TGIF one of the days since Dina tempted us so much!!! It was a bit of a trouble but we got through that. Lol. I wish that for lunch daily, but money don’t fall from the skies! :(

- Sitting behind the wheels a lot lately. Sometimes it adds the stress, especially when it’s after classes but things get better when the radio is on. Haha.

- è lo amore o lussuria?

- All the CNY extended (and extend it twice more!) family gatherings and bài tiān gōng was so-so. Sometimes they make me wonder a lot about what ‘family’ means and since conversations only run around general stuff and never really personal at all. So much for love, huh? At least I have part of the family that are closer to heart. :)

Sister and myself being bored because we arrived on time (??) for the dinner! :P

- The weight gained during CNY in Ipoh is now lost! Seeped away with the sweat from swinging the good ol’ hula hoop! Can I hear an amen? LOL.

- If you are a usual pedastrian like myself, please be alert when you’re strolling around. An old man saved my life when he was running at me with trembling legs, crying that he just witnessed a snatch theft. He then fled home. And so did I, duh! This happens a lot in SS14, Subang Jaya in the late afternoons. Beware!

- Life’s evolving and it is visible how different a phase it is from the previous one. I clumsily tremble at these steps but I’m happy walking on my own.

- It’s drizzling lightly at the moment. I enjoy the sound of rain a lot, oh the breeze too! Soothing weathers don’t come around good times for me lately. So now would be a perfect time for nap, just the thing I need after some stayed-up nights. Right after I attend to the hot hot tea and more CNY cookies! Heh heh hehhh. Ciao!

Advanced 108

December 24, 2008

Turns out that my English isn’t bad at all! Hahaha. The evaluation tests were alright. I scored! YAY. I thought I might screw up the essay part tho, I wrote awfully much about politics and economy. :P I’m going for Advanced 108!! ^________^ See, Mom? My English is not as bad as you criticize it to be. Hmph!

Thing is that the classes for Advanced 108 and 109 (there are only 9 levels) is not available in SS15’s branch. I might have to go to PJ or KL for them. I said, might. Hmm. :/ Nevertheless, this is great news to me! :) :)

Edit: Only after publishing it I realise that this sounds completely off! Haha. The story is that I want to perfect my English before starting my college phase. Moreover I intend to venture into media, so yeah. ;) Thus I’m going for this US-based language programme at ELS. Yay me! Haha. The tests results are good Christmas presents. :D

Christmas eve and birthdays of two friends of mine; Edmund and Cherie. I wish you both double the warmth of Christmas today. :) In a hurry now. Bye! :)
