AC/Rack’s

July 12, 2009

Lunch at SS15… on a Saturday. As if I won’t do that enough during weekdays but for the sake of the few guys… whatever. And we went to AC for pool. Which was awesome and makes it up for everything else. Hah! Then came two waif-like girlies and suddenly, we are sipping Starbucks. :)

Guys who did not want to take decent photos were: Lester, Nick and Sheng. Daniel left early.

Later around 11pm, out with them guys. Rack’s to AC and back. Erik, KP, Ken Wee, Han Shen. Hsien Yoong and Yiyang. Foosball with Zhenbon. Tiger. Talked till 2am. The end. Bye bye.

College: Week 1

July 11, 2009

Brrrgh! I just had a cold shower. In the middle of the night. The air-cond is not doing me any good, but I kind of like it this way. Chilled.

Mom said she can smell the taste of beer in my breath. But I just had one (or two, max!) sip(s). At least there’s no stale cigarette smell in my hair and threads. MOS’ plus point. :) Had fun with Mabel and Sheng and the rest of the Taylor’s dance club peeps. Mm, let’s see who I can remember: Geraldine and Aizat (both whom I’ve met prior to this), Ian, Ching Yu, Hsien Ming, Eric, Roger, Shaun and Daryl. They were very friendly people and very fun to hang out with. If anyone of you somehow reads this, I mean it, okay? Haha. :D

Alright. If I go on about the night, I’ll end up around ‘Mabel has to remind me to wear my Adidas the next time’ or ‘Tiff and Min who kept on saying I look skinny now’, YEAH MEH!!! >:/

SO.

Brief highlights/updates over the past week!:

1. This semester’s schedule is very relaxed.
2. The latest I can afford to wake up would be 10am.
3. I’ve met so many nice people.
4. We bonded over games of pool.
5. Lindsay teaches me Advanced English. She’s so cute!
6. Economics had been really interesting and fun. Mr D has humour yo. And he’s a storyteller!
7. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think I need help for Math. O___O
8. I want to learn Latin dance!
9. Mabel is going to take me to the few of some better eateries in SS15! :D
10. I have decided to support copyright (new original text books).
11. Had been mistaken for a Korean, a Taiwanese and a 15-year-old wtf.
12. ICPU is about consistency. Thus, workload.

I think a dozen is enough, for now. I’m sleepy anyway. Reached home not long ago. Will update more often if I manage to use the WiFi in campus. :)

A Break Down South

July 6, 2009

Dawn is creeping up on the day now. The sky is generally dark with a slight tinge of morning. :) Dozed off last night after a highly scandalous (HAHA) conversation with Jun Siang. :P He just came back from Brisbane recently! :D Sigh, sigh. I actually miss that fella quite a bit. Hm.

Speaking of those who came back for holiday from Australia, met up with Ji Lynn yesterday! I haven’t seen her for ages okay. The last time there was a get-together, I missed it. So the day went like that; Starbucks, Forever 21, Pasta Zanmai (thanks Ji Lynn!), Topshop and Yogur Berry. It was lots of talk talk talk talk talk. Everyone was just trying to catch up, I guess.

Started to split up when it was around late afternoon. I sticked with KP and Ken Wee. We went to have Choco Top at McDonald’s! HAHA. Yums. More happy food. And ‘guy talk’, ahem. :)

Table For Nine, Please

June 30, 2009

Everyone! :D L-R: KP, Mabel, Cherie, myself, Erik, Lester, Ken Wee, Christine, Jade

This is a photo of us stopping by at Starbucks this afternoon only to find out that their power is out too. No frapp, boohoo! For a second, I thought of using up all my stamped journey cards for these people in the above photo. Hah!

ANYWAY.

The day started off with scrambling off bed because I woke up a wee bit late. The morning I had in my mind was to get up early and cook macaroni for breakfast before going over to SS15. Maybe tomorrow. Or the next. Whichever day I wake up early enough. :)

After accepting a few official documents from Taylor’s, I hurried to the pan mee eatery because no reservations can be made for lunch hours in SS15! :(

So I was sitting there with three tables and empty seats. I got some awkward stares. Uh, ARE THEY COMING OR WHAT?! >:/ Me being myself, I started to get all panicky and pressed numbers on the phone to rush everyone!! But all is forgiven when I saw Mabel! /BEAMS! :))))) And then the others started rolling in. So we ate pan mee (yummy) and did a bit of catching up. I don’t think its enough though. :/ We should all plan for a beach getaway end of this year! In hope that the A(H1N1) influenza would have dialed down, of course.

I just got home from a midnight movie night. Its like, 5am now but I insist on making this movie review happen RIGHT NOW because it is absolutely sleep-deprived worthy.

NO SPOILERS, I PROMISE YOU!!! :D :D

Transfomers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) is undeniably the most anticipated movie of the summer. Some of the boys were telling me about it since early of the year! I was really, really excited about this one without a doubt because the prequel was absolutely ground-breaking — I watched it in the cinemas for SEVEN times when it was screening!!! The Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg combo leaves me wanting more and yet still dumbfounded everytime. This is fucking good shit! I will watch it again real soon!

I knew this movie was going to be huge and I’m sure it is one of my favourite movies of the year! And here are a few particular reasons why:

1. THE AUTOBOTS

I like it most when the autobots were fighting to defend Sam (Shia LeBouf). The loyalty, man! Woah. Even till one of them was sacrificing himself to save Sam, the courage was still roaring. I won’t tell you which autobot, but it was so unexpected! The story kept on building up and twisting the previous twist wtf. MICHAEL BAY ROCKS!

The list of autobots was extended (they had motorbikes!!! :D) but they had really little screentime. Some were talking hip hop. Hahaha, those two twins are funny! Every joke thrown in, the audience applaused. It felt so good to be in a crowd like that! :D

2. CAST

The relationship chart of this movie is easy to draw. Not much and nothing confusing. The focus brought in to each actor in the film development utilized their skills to the max.

Although I saw Shia Lebouf as the greasy annoying little brother in Even Stevens, I still think he’s hot now. He has evolved. He has grown. And into this… actor! He’s one damn committed one too. He had an injury in the midst of filming and still kept on going despite high risks of health damage. Commitment, duuude. Kudos!

Megan Fox as Mikaela Banes fits into action movies very much because she is spunk enough for it! You can’t imagine Rachel McAdams for the same role. Though she will play Clare Abshire wonderfully in The Time Traveler’s Wife (2009), I’m sure. :)))))

Josh Duhamel as Major Lennox was good. I mean, who the hell says all these army codes sexier than him? :P John Turturro as Simmons? HILARIOUS!!! /claps

3. ACTION (DUH?!)

The film rolled in with a fight already and it ended with a pretty good one. Wish the last one was longer though. :/ Every time a decepticon get hit at the right places, the audience cheered together! Hah, I love the spirit of the crowd!! :D I get really excited when they fight because it felt so there and so raw!

And all the explosions.. pwoarrr!! Really awesome. I love the TNT. I love the destruction. I love the ripping each other apart. Okay, I’m not a violent person, I swear! I just like action on the screen! A LOT. Heh.

4. THE THEME

Hah. I always like meaningful stories. Good themes make the movie more solid, no question. And I love the meaning behind this one because we, too, can relate to it. :)

Boiling down, it’s actually about trust, loyalty and doing the right thing. The whole relationship between the autobots and Sam, was so much more humane than what humans actually go through nowadays. That’s quite sad, no? Sigh, we all should be so ashamed! Well, if Jetfire and Wheelie can make good choices, so can us all. And Wheelie did it with such humour! Look out for that part!!! :D

5. FILM DEVELOPMENT

For someone who never read the comic book series, the narrating did a really good job with helping me understand a lot of whys. It unfolded each series of the event at the right time. Without the narrator and the flashbacks, the revenge would’ve seem… stupid. Lol. I wouldn’t like to walk out of the cinema feeling confused. So it really gave me a better idea of the bigger picture. ;)

Okay, no more. I’m really sleepy now. It’s dawn.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Joel for getting us the tickets. :) And buying me dinner. :))) We just had to go to The Curve’s Italiannies when we were already in One Utama because The Curve has a nicer atmosphere. Ahhh. :D Over dinner, we were doing all the catching up and it was great! After, we hung out at Starbucks and bought ourselves matching tumblers! Hahaha. Barristas must really adore me because they tend to give me all-stamped journey cards all the time, which means free beverages… all the time! :P

Erik wanted to join us for movies too, but the futsal bunch drove up to Genting just for the night wtf. My eyelids feel like they weigh a tonne each now. Good morning world! :D
